like ford fusion. turbo charge engines popular with buyers seeking better mileage. auto marks ramping up production of these engines. they are using it as a way to increase fuel economy. they have to increase the number of vehicles they are soelg that have better fuel economy. they are pushing these engines and consumers are buying into it. nobody more so than ford. if you go to ford and ask for an ecoboost engine, they will be happy to sell you one. 90% of ford models for sale this year will come with the offer of an ecoboost engine, about another $795 for that engine. take a look at shares of ford. keep this in mind. ford when we can'ted them about this consumer reports study they say, listen, these engines are delivering mpg set out there in testing by the epa. they say that the customer feedback they are getting from people who have these engines, sue, across the board they have never seen better feedback. they dispute these findings. by the way, other automakers we contacted dispute these findings there consumer reports. this is worth watching. turbo charge engines are here to ci

about that, brian. we will go over ford numbers in a bit. but first off, news that rhonda report january sales with increase of 12.8%. honda seeing a big game forty new accord. as we see these new come in and auto makers in wab keep this in mind. most of the gains we have seen, they are the best since january of 2008. an indraes of 26 pbt 7 spers way above east mates. what is driving all of this. right now we will see a sales rate for the month. poins of. pint up demand we have seen the last few months there is another interesting fact in the auto sales. pickup trucks seem to be edging higher. it is too soon to say this is the construction market rebounding but there is no doubt there is strength in the pickup truck market we haven't seen in some time. take a look at shares of gm and ford. some other auto stocks have had a bit after more robust rally in the last couple of days then you have seen from gm and ford but skeep in mind these guys are tied to what is happening in europe. as long as europe is a mess for auto makers, that will weigh on the stocks. but january off no a strong star

've been talking for some time. we went to boulder, colorado when ford was introducing the ecoboost engine, driving it around, ford flex. people saying the wave of the future. turbo engines underperform, promising better fuel economy. look what they found when they compared their test versus what's on the epa sticker. we've got five models they tested. all together they tested 11. you see there is a difference between what consumer reports got and epa it's two one and four miles per gallon. furthermore, said i think people should think twice before paying extra money for one of these engines. remember, most are going to cost between 6, 700 and $1,000. ford big pushing turbo chargers responded by saying consumer reports findings not consistent with what we see from internal and external feedback on ecoboost engines. we're seeing people get the performance and fuel economy they want. when you take a look at shares of ford over the last three months, keep this in mind. this company has sold more than half million ecoboost engines. wildly popular, brian. that's one reason why the f series sold

the shrewdest companies of the land. they have eagle ford and marcellus. it's the pipeline company that's just been -- that has about the best exposure to the petri chemical refineries that crave the natural gas liquid feeds stock. it transports liquid oil and refined products. and it pays 66 cents per unit each quarter. just giving -- i gave you a 6.5% increase. like many of the many others, they can't lay down pipe fast enough. even as the vast network would have every important field other than the balken covered. it's causing the bizarre dichotomy between the price and they're pumping out using the c-pipe. i used to go the other way. now that's so much oil going into cushing there's no room for this stuff. there's so much more oil though. that enterprise is expanding its pipe at a voracious pace to handle it. these partnerships are notorious, they're a point and a half off the high. it did trade down from 55 to 49 not that long ago. the companies as part of the tax reform, it didn't. that said i still think it's a decent entry point to get some of the 4.79% yield. i'd hope it goes to a bet

in this country we don't even know about, the size of the bakken and eagle ford, the two shales that have made the pipe dream of north american energy self-sufficiency into a reality that we could see in just a couple years time. could you imagine? i think america's oil and gas industry is in the early innings of the second game of the double-header. first game being spindle top. and that's what makes me so hopeful about the rest of the year. beyond just betting history repeats itself. the baltimore-like industrials are beginning to flex their muscles. we've had only one solid quarter from china under our belt. we just jumped over the fiscal cliff in this country. europe just now stabilizing. these recoveries foretell a dramatic increase in orders for our industrials as we saw in the amazing durable goods and purchasing managers reports we just got. as for tech, who could ignore the spending that companies like amazon, facebook, and google are doing to build out their businesses? or how about so many tech firms, firms have put tech spending on hold pending the resolution of the fiscal cliff? o

because low rates force companies to pour cash into pensions. you saw ford motor had to contribute $5 million to their pensions verizon had to put $1.7 billion in. they basically showed us the amazing numbers here, and it was actually very startling to me. you've got basically a $400 billion pension hole which is the same as it was in 2008, the discount rate has interest rates at the fed has basically pushed rates to where they are. the issue here is that assets are not growing as fasts as liabilities but the liabilities on these pension plans are determined by the low interest lately. what does that mean? it means the following, this is something that nobody cares about right now. some day somebody cares about it and this is something that some day one's going to care about, they just don't right now. speaking of numbers, i also want to do a little bit of a right turn. you probably saw earnings reported out of switzerland. they reported they've got 7,059 wealth advisors. when i saw the numbers, i thought let me take a look at it. they actually have revenues per advisor of $1 million.
